Designed by renowned Houston architect, Alfred Charles Finn, and constructed by Tyler contractors, Campbell & White, the building features a restrained Art Deco style, with stepped massing and motifs inspired by Classical Revival designs.

The street level façades of polished, black granite frame the entry with fluted detailing and a symbolic keystone and extend around the building to accent large retail show windows. From the ground floor, the buff brick exterior rises with sharp, vertical piers toward the final penthouse level.

Inside, the building still retains its original marble and limestone entrance, grand Art Deco banking lobby, marble-faced elevator entrances, polished aluminum handrails, and timeless, limestone and terrazzo floors.
